This varies by state and by licensure type. It’s best to contact your state licensing board, especially because some states are revisiting requirements since the pandemic emergency measures have been lifted.

Motivo also has a resource that highlights each state and license requirement that you can access once you sign up.

You are not billed for supervision until you’ve chosen a supervisor and begun your sessions.

  3. After your information has been entered, you’ll be directed to the clinical supervisor directory for your state and license.
  4. Choose a clinical supervisor based on their special skills, interests, and clinical background. If you have a special request, contact us at support@motivohealth.com and we will do our best to help you find a clinical supervisor who is the right fit.
  5. Schedule an introductory appointment.
  6. Meet with the supervisor to determine if you are a good fit for each other. This list of questions should help.
  7. Schedule your first full session with your supervisor.

Your credit card will be billed at the time of each appointment. If you’re going to miss an appointment, please communicate with your supervisor as soon as possible, since we have a 24-hour notification policy.

You can do that on the Motivo platform where you’ll be able to see your schedule, your documentation, and communicate with us and your supervisor.

Your clinical supervisor documents your sessions on the platform immediately after the session and that documentation is retained on the platform and is readily available as you put in your final paperwork for licensure and your examination.
