Please join us to hear from a diverse panel of experienced professionals from Motivo and Elevance Health as we explore the current state of mental health equity for youth and young adults, and to identify strategies for advancing mental health equity for this population.
The webinar will bring together experts in mental health, youth development, and health equity to discuss the challenges and opportunities for promoting mental health equity for young people. Topics will include the impact of social determinants of health; cultural humility and competency, and best practices for creating safe, affirming spaces for BIPOC, queer, and trans youth; and the use of technology to increase access to care.
Participants will leave the webinar with a better understanding of the key issues affecting mental health equity for youth and young adults, and with practical tools and resources to help promote mental health equity in their own work and communities.
Following this panel discussion, attendees will be able to:
Increase awareness of the disparities in mental health care access and outcomes for youth and young adults, and the impact of social determinants of health on these disparities.
Provide participants with an understanding of best practices for advancing mental health equity for youth and young adults, including practicing cultural humility and the integration of technology in mental health services.
Facilitate the sharing of practical tools and resources among participants, and to foster networking and collaboration among mental health professionals, advocates, and organizations working to advance mental health equity for youth and young adults.
